Stonebridge Beck landscape

If you are looking for a location which combines convenience and countryside then it’s time to take a closer look at Farnley in West Leeds, home of the stunning Stonebridge Beck residential development on the site of the former Stonebridge Mills.

Convenience
Farnley is located close to the ring road (A6110) and Tong Road which is ideal for users of public transport as well as motorists, providing easy access to regular bus services and the motorway network. Leeds city centre is just 3 miles away and is well served by buses which run approximately every 30 minutes at peak times. Services also run on the ring road to a variety of other destinations. Proximity to Bramley and New Pudsey stations also serves to emphasise the excellent accessibility to public transport.

Lawns Park Primary (3-11 years)
Greenhill Primary (3-11 years)
Ryecroft Academy (4-11 years)

Green Spaces
Given its proximity to Leeds it is difficult to imagine Farnley as the gateway to an abundance of green space and open countryside, but this could not be further from the truth.
Whether it is a brisk stroll along Farnley Beck, a visit to Farnley Hall Park or time spent exploring Post Hill Park there is plenty to distract you from the rigours of daily life. Don’t forget the unspoilt beauty of Fulneck valley, but do keep an eye out for stray golf balls from the golfers who share the same stunning space.

Shopping and Amenities
There are plenty of local amenities, convenience shops, plus ALDI on Tong Road to cater for those everyday necessities, but for the full shopping experience the White Rose Centre is less than 10 minutes away and of course Leeds city centre and all that has to offer is close by.

Head in the opposite direction and you find the historic market town of Pudsey with its choice of high street stores and independent retailers. There is also the Owlcotes Shopping Centre with a Marks and Spencer and 24 hour Asda. Meanwhile, the busting village of Farsley brimming with bars, restaurants and the fabulous Sunny Bank Mills is only minutes away.

Sport and Leisure
Almost every sport is catered for in Farnley and the immediate area.

If cricket’s your thing then there are few better places to while away a sunny afternoon than New Farnley Cricket Club, members of the Bradford Premier League. The clubhouse and bar is also open during the week and is a popular spot for locals in need of refreshment.

The shrill sound of the referee’s whistle can often be heard emanating from Farnley Falcons Rugby League Club, West Leeds Rugby Union Club and any number of amateur football clubs who display their skills on the many public pitches in the area.

Golf can be enjoyed at The Manor Golf Club, complete with driving range and clubhouse, and for general fitness and swimming head to Armley Leisure Centre.

Eating, Drinking and Socialising
The bright lights of Leeds, with its vibrant social scene, are a major draw for those in and around Farnley, and rightly so.

However there is much still to be enjoyed closer to home. The Beulah offers an excellent bistro style experience; coupled with spectacular views across the valley to Pudsey which itself is not short on bars and restaurants. A little further up the road, The Greyhound pub in the picturesque village of Tong remains as popular as ever.

The Perfect Place to Call Home
With so much on the doorstep it is no surprise that Farnley is a popular location for a whole range of house buyers looking for that blend of convenience and space to breathe.
And that’s exactly why the Stonebridge Beck development on the site of the former Stonebridge Mills is already proving so popular.

There is a choice of unique mill conversion townhouses which retain many of the original features and make the most of the wonderful historic structure, converted former workers cottages, heritage homes and one of four contemporary new home styles – in fact something to suit every lifestyle.
