Leeds Named Best Place to Live

It’s official – Leeds has been named the best place to live in the North and North East of England.

The city was recognised in prestigious Sunday Times ‘Best Places to Live’ guide for 2024 which includes 72 locations across the UK.

In explaining their decision the judges said: “Leeds has established itself as the true northern powerhouse and is the perfect place to enjoy good life on a good salary.

“Leeds has the best-paying jobs outside London. Five universities provide youthful energy and it’s the only UK city outside London to have its own opera, ballet and theatre companies.

“The markets, Victorian arcades and Trinity Leeds megamall make it one of the country’s top shopping destinations and there’s a great choice of places to live.”

And all this is great news for residents of Stonebridge Beck. Not only do they benefit from an historic mill village location surrounded by green space, they are a matter of minutes from Leeds city centre which is easily accessible by car and public transport.

New Homes Advisor Giselle Ledgard said: “In terms of convenience Stonebridge Beck is hard to beat. It is difficult to believe that such an idyllic location, alongside Wortley Beck and surrounded by an abundance of green space, is so close to the centre of Leeds which has quite rightly received the accolade of being the best place to live in the North and North East.”

Stonebridge Beck is set in a secluded position close to the ring road and has proved popular with a range of buyers. This has resulted in there now being only a handful of magnificent mill townhouses and contemporary new-build four bedroom homes available to buy..

Giselle commented: “With stock levels running low I really do encourage people who are considering making Stonebridge Beck their home to come and see us before it’s too late.”
